As Scouts, we believe in preparing THE Wiltshire West District’s young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more…
Each week, we give over 1000 young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.
We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.
There are Scouts aged 4-25 meeting all over the area – Melksham, Broughton Gifford, Bradford on Avon, Hilperton, Trowbridge, Southwick, Westbury, Warminster and Mere. So whether you want to sign up your child or are interested in volunteering with us we would love to hear from you.
The District has 12 individual Scout groups and 6 Explorer Units.
Over recent years, the number of Scouts has grown significantly. This popularity does, unfortunately, mean that we can’t always offer a space straight away, and you may instead be placed on a joining list until we have a space for you.
An explorer, adventurer and TV presenter, Dwayne's been seen in BAFTA nominated Channel 5 series Race to the Pole, on BBC Springwatch, Countryfile, National Geographic and Disney+.
